Visitation Academy - Frederick, Maryland - Founded 1846 Honoring our past, preparing for their future
Our faculty and staff of 30 dedicated women continue the mission of the Visitation Sisters through daily interaction with our students. With degrees ranging from Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education to Masters of Education, Business and Juris Doctor, our teachers bring their knowledge and passion for learning into the classroom every day. Our student teacher ratio creates an intimate setting that enables our teachers to develop deeper relationships with students while creating a challenging and nurturing learning environment. Visitation Academy is fully accredited under the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and AdvancEd. The Academy follows the course of study dictated by the Archdiocese of Baltimore (AOB) and their curriculum is based on national standards. As an independent Catholic school, the Academy enhances the benchmarks of the AOB standard curriculum to meet the school's education goals for their single-sex student population.
