Scholarships, Financial Aid and Retail Credit Programs Available at the Visitation Academy

Scholarships
These scholarships are available to students of the Visitation Academy through the Friends of Catholic Education, Inc.  For additional information, contact the school office.

Jesuit Scholarship: A 4-year scholarship  ($1,000.00 per year) for any 8th Grade Catholic student belonging to a Frederick County parish to attend St. John’s at Prospect Hall. Recipients must maintain a B average through 4 years to retain the scholarship.

School Sisters of Notre Dame Scholarship: A 4-year scholarship ($1,000.00 per year) to any 8th Grade Catholic student belonging to a Frederick County parish to attend St. John’s at Prospect Hall. Recipient must maintain a B average through 4 years to retain the scholarship.

FOCE Scholarship: A 4-year scholarship ($1,000.00 per year) for any 4th or 8th Grade Catholic student belonging to a Frederick County parish to attend any Catholic school in Frederick County. Recipients must maintain a B average through 4 years to retain the scholarship.

Nallin Memorial Scholarship:  A 4-year scholarship open to current 4th or 8th grade students to attend any Frederick County Catholic School.

 

Sisters of Visitation Scholarship:  A 4-year scholarship open to current 4th or 8th grade students to attend the Visitation Academy.

Smith Memorial Scholarship: A 4-year scholarship ($1,000.00) per year, for any 4th or 8th Grade Catholic student belonging to a Frederick County parish to attend any Catholic school in Frederick County. Recipients must maintain a B average through 4 years to retain the scholarship.

St. Peter Claver Scholarship: A 1-year scholarship open to African-American students in all grades at Visitation Academy. Amount varies.  Renewable

Financial Aid
Visitation Academy has selected the Tuition Aid Data Service to conduct our financial need assessments for families applying for tuition assistance. Families requesting any financial assistance must submit the TADS form with the required $30.00 application fee. Further information regarding TADS and application forms are available by contacting the school office or apply online at www.tuitionaid.com.

Tuition Assistance through Local Parish
Assistance with tuition may be available through your parish.  Please contact your parish office for the specific details. 

 Food Certificate Program to Earn Tuition Credits
A Food Certificate Program to assist parents in reducing the cost of tuition at Catholic schools in Frederick County is available to students attending the Visitation Academy. Participating grocery stores include Giant, Giant Eagle, Food Lion, Shoppers Food Warehouse, Weis and Super Fresh. The program is sponsored through the Friends of Catholic Education, and is applied as tuition credit at the school. Please contact the school office for further information regarding this program.
